QNT
QNT-USD
Quant (QNT) powers the Overledger Network, the world's first blockchain operating system. It solves interoperability by connecting any blockchain to any other without adding extra overhead.
Historical oversold levels
Track when QNT has reached extreme oversold conditions (XTRM below -125) historically. These levels represent prolonged periods in extreme territory and often present potential opportunities.
QNT has no extreme XTRM events on the weekly timeframe.
What is QNT?
Quant was launched in 2018 by Gilbert Verdian, a veteran in the cybersecurity field with high-level experience at organizations like BP and the UK Ministry of Justice. The project was born from a need to bridge the gap between different blockchain protocols which were then operating in silos. Unlike most interoperability solutions that require an entirely new chain, Quant’s Overledger is a blockchain operating system that sits on top of existing networks to provide seamless connectivity.
The technical backbone, Overledger, allows developers to build multi-chain applications that can interact with various ledgers simultaneously. This architecture is unique because it avoids the complexity of adding more layers or bridges that often present security risks. Instead, it uses an API-based gateway that connects legacy enterprise systems directly to distributed ledgers like Ethereum, Ripple, and Bitcoin. It is essentially the glue for the decentralized web.
From a tokenomics perspective, the QNT token is central to the ecosystem. It is an ERC-20 token with a capped supply of approximately 14.6 million tokens. To use the network, developers and enterprises must purchase annual licenses in QNT, which are then locked. This creates a supply-sink mechanism where actual utility drives market demand. Additionally, transaction fees and gateway operator fees are often settled using the token, ensuring it remains the lifeblood of the network.
The ecosystem is heavily geared toward institutional finance. Quant has secured significant partnerships with organizations like Oracle and SIA, a major player in European payment infrastructure. They are also deeply involved in Central Bank Digital Currency research, notably through Project Rosalind with the Bank of England and the BIS.
Looking ahead to 2026, the outlook remains focused on the institutionalization of crypto. The roadmap suggests a deeper push into tokenized assets and commercial CBDC deployments. As more financial institutions move their settlement processes to distributed ledgers, Quant is positioned to be the primary gateway. By 2026, expect Overledger to be a standard bridge for regulated assets, facilitating massive cross-border volume.
What is the XTRM Indicator?
The XTRM (Extreme) Indicator is a proprietary momentum indicator that measures cumulative time spent in extreme territory. Unlike traditional oscillators like RSI that measure a snapshot in time, XTRM accumulates how long an asset remains in oversold or overbought conditions, providing a deeper understanding of momentum exhaustion.
For QNT, monitoring the XTRM indicator provides valuable insights into prolonged extreme conditions. When the XTRM drops significantly below zero (especially below -125), QNT-USD has been in oversold territory for an extended period, suggesting potential for a reversal. Conversely, high positive XTRM values indicate extended overbought conditions.
Understanding QNT XTRM Signals
- Deep Oversold (XTRM below -125): When QNT XTRM falls below -125, it indicates prolonged time in extreme oversold conditions. This cumulative measure often provides stronger reversal signals than single-day oversold readings.
- Neutral Zone (XTRM near 0): When XTRM hovers around zero, QNT is in a balanced state without extended extreme conditions. This can indicate consolidation or indecision in the market.
- Overbought (XTRM above +10): An XTRM above +10 indicates QNT has been in overbought territory for an extended period, potentially signaling an overextended rally and increased risk of pullback.
Daily vs Weekly XTRM for QNT
This page displays both daily and weekly XTRM for QNT. The daily XTRM tracks short-term cumulative extremes, useful for identifying swing trading opportunities. The weekly XTRM provides a longer-term perspective on momentum exhaustion, helping investors spot major turning points.
By analyzing both timeframes together, you can identify when QNT-USD is experiencing extreme conditions at multiple time scales, which often leads to the strongest reversal setups.
Historical XTRM Extreme Analysis
Above, we track historical instances when QNT XTRM dropped below -125 (extreme oversold territory). These periods represent times when QNT-USD spent extended periods in oversold conditions, which historically have presented some of the best buying opportunities. Analyzing how QNT behaved after reaching these extreme XTRM levels can help inform future trading decisions.
